Their goal was to enable companies to effortlessly gather relevant leads from platforms like Google, websites, LinkedIn, and other digital sources, all within a centralized system. To support the diverse needs of European businesses, the solution required a subscription-based model, integrated with secure payment processing via Stripe.
A key challenge was to scrape relevant lead data from various websites, while adhering to the limits set by each user’s subscription. For instance, platforms like Indeed.com might have 100 available job openings, but if the user subscribed to a plan that only allowed access to 20 leads, the system needed to accurately restrict scraping to that limit.
Gathering reliable lead information from multiple sources like Google, LinkedIn, Indeed.com, Yellowpages.com, and company details from platforms such as Northdata.com and Hunter.io required flexible scraping tools that could handle different website structures, anti-scraping mechanisms, and data formats.
Integrating Stripe for subscription payments was necessary to ensure secure, seamless user management. Stripe needed to be configured to handle different subscription tiers, including free trials and ongoing payments.
We built a tailored scraping solution using Python 3.10, combined with the Scrapy framework and Selenium for data collection from websites. This enabled us to accurately scrape only the necessary data according to each user’s plan, preventing over-scraping and ensuring compliance with platform terms.
